Sleep disorders affect more than 10% of all Americans. There are more than 84 separate sleep disorders which adversely affect the quality of life of thousands of people. In general, if you are not as awake and alert as you want or need to be during the day, you should examine the quality and quantity of your sleep. Untreated sleep disorders often lead to chronic diseases such as weight gain, high blood pressure, heart disease or stroke, and they can increase the risk of accidents.

Services:
Consultation
At your request, you may be seen by one of our sleep physicians for a comprehensive clinic interview and review of your sleep history, symptoms and sleep patterns prior to any sleep study to determine whether diagnostic sleep testing would be beneficial.
Sleep Studies
Most patients arrive for a study at the Sleep Diagnostic Center in the evening, although we also run studies during the day for those patients who routinely sleep during the day. Patients pack as they would to stay overnight in a hotel, bringing sleeping attire, toiletries, and any medications. Patients are usually in the center for approximately 8-10 hours (7 hours of monitoring while in bed). Sleep studies are performed in as home-like an environment as possible, with patient comfort as a top priority. Each diagnostic sleep laboratory is state-of-the-art. Patients are provided with an attractive, private bedroom with private bathroom and shower facilities.
Board certified sleep physicians and registered polysomonographic technologists supervise the sleep studies and provide patients with state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of their sleep disorders, in conjunction with their primary physician. All testing and treatment is provided following the guidelines established by The American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
