McLaren Central Michigan welcomes Jonathan Daniels, PA-C to the medical staff at the Shepherd Clinic, where he joins Sally Beeson, FNP-BC. Daniels, a lifelong resident of Shepherd, will see patients in need of primary care. He specializes in preventative medicine and management of chronic diseases such as thyroid disorders, diabetes, COPD, obesity, arthritis and acute illnesses.
Before joining McLaren Central Michigan, Daniels worked with a private internal medicine practice in Alma, and with an urgent care clinic in Lansing. He also is an adjunct faculty member in the Integrative Physiology and Health Science Department at Alma College.
Daniels earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Health Science from Alma College in 2007, and went on to earn his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan University in 2009, where he still mentors first and second-year physician assistant students.
“I like to give each of my patients the time they need to ask questions, and work with them to develop a successful treatment plan,” Daniels said. “It’s this desire to serve my hometown, my friends and my family that led me to this profession.”
Daniels’ family includes his wife, Cheri, and two children; Alexandra, 9, and Dylan, 8. In his free time, he enjoys working on classic cars or relaxing with his family on Drummond Island.
